Unusual flower

Well stopped and did just a couple of flower shots after work as I wanted to catch a few pictures from today's JV girls tennis match. Then home for a quick dinner and then Dave and I went out to photograph the first period of the Girls lacrosse game.

Angry Tulips

So very many tulips to choose from so which do I post. These tulips with scalloped petals almost look as though they are fighting each other in the tulip bed. Or maybe they are fighting for the attention of the many people walking by.

blooming tree

Camera did not come with to work this morning so time to wander the yard. This tree is really being a show off in the front yard with a slight touch of pink in the center of the flowers.

Tennis Girls picture #2

Here is Melissa, she also plays doubles tennis and has a very powerful serve. Also a very intense player!

Tennis Girls photo #1

Went to the Holland vs Holland Christian girls tennis match to take pictures of a couple of my favorite girls. I love the new courts @ Holland Christian as they do help make the uniforms pop. Here is Abbie! No matter what the sport this girl is intense.

another backyard find

I believe this will be blooming tiger Lily plants in a couple of months. It is one that Brian brought to me from Allegan county. And he was correct they do multiply so will be interested to see if it is one of the orange or hot pink.

Bleeding Hearts

It is amazing what can all of a sudden appear in a couple of days. Dave spotted my multiple bleeding hearts in the woods. He even wandered out with the spray bottle to mist them for me. I hope everyone is enjoying my photography adventure.

pretty bouquet

The weekend started out quite well and then it took a sad twist. Dave brought me flowers on his way home from work to try to brighten my day.

Cloud formations

Wandered Riley Trails again today as it looked as though the morning I would have some blue sky's to capture before the afternoon brought in the clouds. So here is my photo for today.

My version of college graduation pictures

Dave and I went to visit Lindsey and take her out to lunch as she has just over 3 weeks left of this semester and a six week summer class. Since she is done with school June 24 (YEAH!!!!) and doesn't officially graduate until August and wouldn't walk until December I wanted some pictures of the end of what she has accomplished in 4 years on CMU campus. So here is my version of Lindsey's college graduation picture. A stress free photo in blue jeans, white t shirt and tank, her grey Northface jacket and of course black Old Navy flip flops with her dad in comfy clothes too, sitting on the business school sign. Dave started his life in Mt Pleasant so I love the connection of how things come round and round.

Buzz Buzz Bumble Bee

These guys are fast and I am not all that patience but I was able to catch one with the 300 lens. These are really big too so I am glad that all they were really interested in was the flowering shrubs and trees and not me! So buzz buzz bumble bees. =)

flowering tree

I just love this tree @ Dutch Village. When it first starts blooming it is this awsome pink color and then fades to white or a really pale pink. And the bright blue sky just makes them pop just so much more.

Burgers, Brats and hotdogs

Yummy dinner!!! =) Always a good night at the Kadolph dinner table when Dave stops at Bob's Butcher shop. Yeah I know that is a lot of food on the grill for the two of us. Not to worry, left overs for us tomorrow and some to go to the freezer for a quick meal on a busy night!

Orange pansy

I did my own Holland photo walk today and had a fun mid afternoon stroll through downtown. Also meandered through Centennial Park and part of Hope campus.

back yard flowers

Chilly again this afternoon so wandered the yard to see what else might have popped up since my last meander earlier in the week. So who knows what this flower is called?

Downtown art

A quick stop downtown Holland as it was very chilly and windy, at least compared to last week. This is an different art structure on 8th st and at sidewalk level is a map of downtown so that the tourist can find where things are.

Kissed tulip

Wandered downtown Holland on my way home as I know that the tulips are blooming. I came across this on 8th avenue and the first thought that came into my mind was it looks like someone with pink lipstick kissed this tulip. More tulips on my facebook page and more to come!

Rain drops on flowers

Wading out in the back yard, should have tested out the new rain boots. With the warm weather and the rain last night and today the yard has a bunch of new colors popping. The macro lens is out on loan but when it comes back I will need to try the wet flowers again to see if can get some cool rain drops on flowers.

Forsythia bush next door

The neighbor was out filling bird feeders so I helped with some of the trickier ones (I am sure the squirrels could outsmart me) and then asked if I could wander the yard and takes some photos. so here is my favorite before the rains kick in.

Spring flowers

Wandered to the neighbors as Jeff does a fantastic job landscaping. Hard to again chose a photo of the day so check out a couple more on my facebook page. Happy Easter everyone.:)

St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ionia

On the way home from a family Easter dinner Lindsey and I stopped and I took pictures of this church just as the storm clouds were breaking up. In the tall windows above the doors are plastic owls which I thought was a bit odd.

white and blue flowers

Another 80 plus day in Michigan in early April. Boy do the flowers really love this weather. Out checking the yard for new blooming flowers and overlooking the rabbit chomped crocuses and I spotted something Dave must have planted last fall.

And yet another crocus

My photos from this morning did not come out like I wanted so to the front yard yet again!
