We did the back roads of Virginia on our first day back to Michigan. Came upon this clearing with a restaurant overlooking the massive drop off to the valley below and some pretty yellow wild flowers to one side of the clearing.
Lindsey asked us to stay om Monday so she and Adam had to work so Dave and I wandered the area. So while Dave was trying to get some photo's of the combat ships on at Yorktown I was wandering the small park with the shorter lens and trying some angles with the canon!
Adam and Lindsey giving us the tour, day number two. They put up with me wandering what was left of the gardens in the historic area. Lindsey, Adam and Elise got root beer and cider. At the far end of the historic area they sat and I did photo's of the family. Had lots of fun spending time with all three kids! Great sights, fun at Virginia Beach, Yorktown and Williamsburg and 2 days of eating out and getting great seafood.
This is one of the lookouts off the highway in Virginia. It was very hazy over the mountains in the background. It is just amazing looking at the vast mountain ranges as far as the eyes can see.
Deanna is an exchange student at Holland Christian from South Korea. This is her second year at HC and she only had about a week and a half to get senior photo's taken and turned in for the high school yearbook. Her host mom is good friends with my favorite office partner so the four of us did a whirlwind photo shoot downtown Holland then to the old Coast Guard station and then finally to Holland State Park. When in Holland get Big Red in your photo too! It was her first time at the State Park.
Julia, Tyler and Lauren were home over the Labor day weekend. I was invited over to visit. Sophie needed a few more photo's for her facebook page so this time I took a faster lens than last time as she is pretty darn fast for a little young puppy!!
Been on sabbatical from some photography but I am now back at it. This flower is missing a bunch of petals. I figure someone has been pulling the petals and playing the game she loves me, she loves me not!
