Sunday April 24,2010 backyard spring color

Meandering around the yard on this partly sunny Easter to see what kind of colors have appeared. Found a couple of small blue flowers in the back garden and some daffodils in the front.

Monday April 18,2011 Snowy flowers

Last year on this date I was shooting a ton of tulips in downtown Holland that had come up before the infamous tulip time because we had a long warm stretch. In 2011 the weather has taken a not so friendly turn with a couple of inches of snow and the flowers slow to come up. These are daffodils and hyacinths in our yard.

Monday April 11,2011 pretty spring flowers

Not sure what these bulb flowers are but they sure are pretty. The macro lens makes these flowers look much larger than what they really are. They are about the same size as the smaller daffodils.

Monday April 4,2011 Snow Drops

Thanks again to Dave Cherry for sharing some of his perennials to add to my gardens. The patch is getting bigger so now I need to divide it and spread the early flowers to other parts of my yard!!

Up by 7:30am and wanted to get a walk in. Dave says you better do it right now as rain is coming. So first things first. I saw that some of the hundreds of crocus' that Dave has planted the last two falls have started to make their presence known on the edge of the front woods. So here are a couple from 7:45 am this morning. Then I got a 5 mile walk in before the rain started!
