September 28,2011

Another hit and miss rainy day. I got lucky on my way home as it was the miss part. I have decided along with this 365 project I am also going to explore the local city, county and state parks in the West Michigan area. So this 365 project will get me some much needed exercise, a new look at some of the local parks and a photo of the day opportunities. Hope you enjoy the photo's from a small park on 32nd Ave in Holland that is maintained by Hope College, known as Morningside Park. Sorry I could not pick so I am posting two photo's.

Another stormy day. But the clouds broke up and the sun came out about 5:15pm so out I went to get my photo of the day. I go back to being a kid and enjoying laying in the grass or at the beack and looking at the clouds and explaining what they look like.  Enjoy the blue sky as I am enjoying seeing some short lived sunshine today.

September 26,2011

A very weird Monday weather pattern, mother nature can't seem to make up its mind today. Dark rain clouds to the left, blue skies and poofy white clouds to the right. Dave and I wandered to Hemlock crossings and walked the path 1 and 2 to the south of the new building. Love the sun coming through this path in the woods. I was hoping to find some pretty fall colors but that can wait for another day and a stroll on the paths on the north side of Pigeon River at Hemlock Crossings.

A soggy, damp Sunday in September. So a bit challenging to get outside to take some photos. Wandered the back overgrown garden. Note to self, need to go out with gloves and clippers to pull and snip all those wild raspberry pricker plants that have again taken over the overflow garden. There are a couple of Sedum plants that Dave's parents gave us that are blooming. So that is what today's photo of the day is.

A great Saturday to wander Dutch Village and photograph the last of the summery early fall flowers. Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. The smell of my mothers apple pie and burning leaves and the change of colors of the trees.

Today is a wander the backyard for something interesting to shoot. Well there is fungus amongst us. Yeah that's right mushrooms on a fallen tree. The coppery color from the mushrooms has even stained the tree bark. I am liking the different textures that mother nature has put together in my backyard.

For my 51st year I am going to try to take a photo a day and post. I was inspired by a couple of photographers in Ludington that actually made a collage of their photos and entered it into Art Prize that is down @ the B.O.B., Todd and Brad Reed Photography. A father son team that is really talented. Depending how it goes I think I will make a book for my 52nd birthday as a birthday present for me and from me. Wish me luck during the winter as I am not fond of shooting in the cold weather.
