We headed out at dawn this morning and down to the end of Holly Dr in West Olive Michigan to capture the sunrise coming up over the trees on Pigeon River. It was a comfortable 52 degree, dew covered grass and a light foggy mist over the river out by the cat tails. Lots of noise coming from the large patch of cat tails and I look at Dave and say "that seems really loud for tree frogs". Well not tree frogs rather they were filled with red winged black bird. I say "it would be real cool to get photo's of them taking off", so Dave picks up some stones and throws them in that direction, missed the cat tails by quite a bit and did not bother the birds what so ever. Talk about strange, just before the sun came over the tree tops about 100 birds flew out of the cat tails and to the trees that lined the shore. So this is one of the captures from that transfer from the cat tails to the trees along the shore and the river was pretty dead calm so you also have the birds reflections.
